Tilita George Alexandru, PhD Student
Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
The competition took place on December 4, 2017 at the HKUST Business School Central. This event featured five innovative business plans and showcased the intellect and creativity of HKUST students in solving problems related to health and happiness.

With a generous donation of HK$350,000 from the Fosun Foundation, the HKUST MBA Technopreneur Competition was a business plan competition organized by the HKUST Business School. It encouraged students to use their creative ability and business knowledge in problem solving from a customer-centric point of view.

This competition was different from other MBA business plan competitions as it required students to form cross-disciplinary teams. Each team consisted of students from various postgraduate programs at HKUST. In his closing remarks, Mr. Li Hai Feng, Fosun Global Partner and President of the Fosun Foundation, said, "I am very impressed by the innovation, analytic data, and the entrepreneurial mindset of the HKUST students! As one of the leading Chinese international conglomerates and investment companies with operations in Hong Kong, we are looking forward to more collaboration to open up more new opportunities for entrepreneurship and employment for students at HKUST.”
With the generous support from the Fosun Foundation, HKUST students got the opportunities to form cross-disciplinary teams in the business plan competition.
