THE MBA PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Professor Tai-Yuan Chen
Dear all,
Welcome to the inaugural issue of MBA Sundial.
Having assumed the role of Director of MBA Programs for five months, one of my top priorities is to enhance communication with students and the alumni community. This quarterly e-newsletter provides program updates, alumni developments, and insights shared by our successful alumni.
No doubt, our alumni are our most valuable asset, and we hope to engage this community as frequently as possible. As a lifelong learning benefit, electives across a spectrum of six disciplines are being offered to our MBA alumni for auditing in the 2018 Spring semester. In the upcoming academic year, we will offer even more courses for alumni to audit that align with the market’s hot trends.

In April 2018, we are launching an inaugural MBA Alumni Forum on General Career Management and the Finance Industry. We look forward to seeing many of you at this event. Additionally, we are organizing career coaching services for our recent graduates, and details will be announced in due course.
To cope with today’s employment trends, the MBA office is working closely with various parties to revamp our curriculum with new courses in the upcoming academic year: Legal Compliance, Artificial Intelligence, Cryptocurrency, and Financial Modeling.
Creating more career opportunities for students and graduates is always our first priority. On March 16, we have hosted our annual Career Fair for MBA students and recent graduates in The Excelsior Hotel, Hong Kong. The Career Fair accommodates more than 25 companies from the banking and finance, consulting, technology, luxury and logistics industries that are searching for global talents. Afterwards is an intensive three-day career trek to Singapore in April. Finally, we will bring back The Corporate Reception in the last quarter of 2018 to recognize the tremendous support of our corporate partners.
Enjoy your reading and we look forward to staying more closely connected with you, hearing your updates, and receiving your feedback.
