MESSAGE FROM MBA ALUMNI TEAM
Dedicated to Create a Supportive Community for the Future
Having joined HKUST MBA’s career office since 2013, I have worked with over 700 full-time MBA students and always enjoy seeing the growth and development of students and friends whom I come across. A lot of these stories involved the support which students received from the MBA community.
I have recently taken up a new role as Head of MBA Career & Alumni Development. By bringing the alumni and career service functions together under one team, we trust it will create more synergy in channelling alumni support to the program.
There are currently over 5,000 HKUST MBA alumni all over the world. In the coming time, we are dedicated to taking new innovative initiatives to bring everyone closer together. Recently, we have launched an interactive online sharing series, “Hello Alumni!”, inviting alumni from different industries and regions to share the latest trends in their professional areas. Since the inception in September 2020, we have seen a growth of regular attendees to over 120. On the other hand, we are glad to see alumni bringing expertise from wide range of industries and regions into the mentorship program. We also appreciate that more and more alumni are giving career advice and providing job referrals to support current students’ job search under the challenging market.
At the same time, HKUST MBA would like to invite you to think of ways you can give back to the school in whatever degree you are comfortable. From career mentoring, sharing industry expertise, providing job referral to making donation, your volunteering and giving back will contribute to the sustainable growth of the MBA program.
