Full-time MBA employment summary for class of 2019
In the latest employment report, we are proud to announce that the full-time class of 2019 has achieved a 5-year-high 91% placement rate within 3 months of graduating.
With top firms like Apple, Google, and Shopee expanding in Asia, the technology industry has presented great career opportunities for our graduates. Indeed, it has become the top industry, with 36% of the 2019 graduates, with banking and finance (24%) and consulting (10%) as the next most popular sectors.
In terms of geographic locations, Hong Kong remained the top destination. Half of the graduates landed a job in the city, followed by mainland China (16%), Southeast Asia (15%), Japan and Korea (9%), and Singapore (6%).
Career placement is a key indicator of an MBA program’s success. We will continue to strengthen our career support to students. New professional coaches who specialize in the fields of consulting, investment banking, and technology have been recruited to guide students along their career journeys. We also offer full sponsorships for training programs such as financial modelling workshops so that students can sharpen their skill sets and maximize their career opportunities.

Meanwhile, we are working with our corporate partners on MBA Consultancy Projects. This is a win-win initiative, as our partners can recruit bright and innovative MBA students as interns, and the interns acquire relevant experience to bolster their resumés. If your organization is interested in working with us, please reach out to our team at mbacpd@ust.hk.
