In this time of physical distancing, community support is essential, as many of us are grappling with how to be there for each other when we cannot be physically present. Now more than ever, it is important to leverage our network to amplify our impact and offer mutual support.
With that in mind, we are excited to launch a new online networking platform exclusively for the
HKUST MBA Alumni Community at
mbacommunity.ust.hk, where alumni and students can develop their network, share knowledge, and find like-minded people.
How It Works
This easy-to-use platform allows you to search and connect with other alumni and students based on your industry, company, location, and other areas of interest. Using big data analytics, the platform matches you with other people in the community based on your profile commonalities and preferences, and then supplies you with connection recommendations. With its map-view function, you can easily view potential connections who are located nearby.
The platform is a one-stop hub for all types of communication: you can send messages, schedule meetings, and sync your calendars with just a few clicks. It even supports real-time proofreading and provides tips on how to create effective and professional messages, to help to maximize your success in making meaningful connections.
These built-in functions not only protect the privacy of your data, but also offer a hassle-free user experience without the need to switch between different tools. In addition, you have full control of your privacy settings, availability, and connection preferences, so you can customize your preferred amount of meeting availability and frequency.
On the career side, you can explore job opportunities through posts submitted by alumni on the job board. To save you time in searching for the right connections, the platform will display the users who are currently working for a company that is seeking new hires, so that you can reach out to them and get more information about the hiring practices and culture of the company.
