COMMUNITY SUCCESSION SCHEME
Words of Appreciation from New Admits
What sets the HKUST MBA apart is definitely our people, who continue to uphold our “can-do” spirit and represent the program admirably. There is no better way to continue our legacy than by having our alumni identify successors for their alma mater through our “HKUST MBA Community Succession Scheme.”
Your recommendation not only introduces an excellent addition to the MBA family, but also changes the world of another. Here, we have two newly admitted students who are grateful for alumnus guidance in making one of their biggest life decisions.
“I met William, an HKUST MBA alumnus, three years ago in Shanghai through a common friend at university. As we share a similar education background and industry focus in the financial sector, William’s insights on professional development opened my eyes regarding how I should make decisions and plan my career.
William told me a lot about his experience as an MBA student, which was one of the reasons that I chose to pursue an MBA at HKUST. Although I have just joined the program, I am already impressed with the series of intriguing webinars on real-world business practices that drill our problem-solving skills and business instincts.
For those who thrive on challenges, I genuinely recommend the HKUST MBA program for further education. I look forward to the day I can share this wonderful experience with a future student as William did with me.”

“Finding the right MBA program is an overwhelming process for most of us, especially for those who have a full-time job.
There is nothing more valuable than learning from those who have been through the same experience. I was fortunate enough to have met my referee in my previous company. As an HKUST alumnus herself, she was able to offer a first-hand account of the student community, courses, and most importantly, the professors.
What enticed me the most is how HKUST embraces diversity and fosters inclusion as its core value, which translates into a positive recognition of differences in its learning culture. I believe that respect for diversity is instrumental in shaping students to be better leaders. It is also a key reason why I chose HKUST.
Just weeks into the program, I can already proclaim that learning has never been more fun with my class of diverse individuals. Thanks to this scheme, the alumni can pass the torch to the next generation. As John C. Maxwell said, “There is no success without a successor.” ”
