MARKETING AND ADMISSION UPDATES
Alumni Referral Program and Marketing and Admission Events

Candidates who are referred by our MBA alumni can receive an application fee waiver
After the MBA Alumni Referral Program was launched last year, we received a number of quality candidate referrals from our alumni. As we embark on a new admission cycle, we are pleased to announce that the Alumni Referral Program will continue for intake 2020. Meanwhile, a wide range of marketing events are happening across different regions. It would make a big difference if we could have your presence as ambassadors in our student recruitment events.

Alumni Referral Program

Over the years, we have received many valuable referrals of potential candidates from our alumni for our MBA admission. Since those candidates already have an in-depth understanding of our program through the alumni engagement, they often prove to be a great fit for our program and are highly interested in joining HKUST.

Simultaneously, we have received regular enquiries from alumni on how they can show their support to high potential candidates. As a result, we have launched the Alumni Referral Program to facilitate the arrangements. Just as last year, if you know of a candidate who would be an excellent addition to our program and would like to support his/her application, we would be happy to waive the application fee of that candidate as a token of appreciation for your referral.

Marketing and Admission Events

A series of recruitment events were kicked off across the world this fall. In the past few months, our marketing and admissions team visited Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, London, Madrid, Toronto, New York, Shenzhen, Munich, Singapore, Taipei, Manila and Ho Chi Minh City for the MBA fairs and info sessions.

We would like to extend our gratitude to those overseas alumni who made the time to meet our prospective candidates. We always believe that no one can better represent our program than our own alumni. It is our honor to have their participation in the events to demonstrate the quality of an HKUST MBAer and to tell the candidates more about our program through their own experiences.

We will host more info sessions in Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau and an open house event in Hong Kong in December 2019 and January 2020. If you happen to be there and are interested in supporting your alma mater as an ambassador at one of these locations, please let us know by emailing your contact details, location and latest job updates to mba@ust.hk.
