MBA OFFICE UPDATES
New Faces and Promotions

There are several new faces in the MBA Office and some good news on staff promotions.

Dr. Echo Liu joined the MBA Office as Assistant Director of the MBA for Professionals (Bi-weekly). Echo obtained a B.A. in Journalism from Zhejiang University and completed her Ph.D. and Post-doctoral Fellowship in Communication at City University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKUST, Echo worked as an editor in a major news media in HK and was Assistant Director and College Lecturer of the Institute for China Business (School of Professional and Continuing Education, SPACE) at HKU.


Daniel Wong joined us as Assistant Manager. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computing from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Daniel’s expertise includes cloud solution and business solution consulting. At the MBA Office, his job is to facilitate cross-team system integration and process enhancement. He is one of the key contributors to the Salesforce application system used by many of our students and prospective candidates for MBA application and career support.

Ivy Chan joined the MBA/M.Sc. Career Development Team as Assistant Manager. Raised in Hong Kong, Ivy obtained her Bachelor of Laws (International Relations) from Peking University. She previously worked in Shanghai where she specialized in recruiting mid-senior level commercial and human resources staff for multinational firms, local conglomerates, and Chinese companies. At the MBA office, Ivy focuses on career development for MBAP cohorts and corporate outreach.

Cindy Kwong and Pinky Li joined the MBA Marketing and Admissions team as Executive Officers. Cindy received a Bachelor of Business Management from Hong Kong Baptist University. She has eight years of work experience in higher education and marketing. Cindy manages admissions events and promotions for the MBA program. Pinky studied Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining HKUST, she worked in the admissions team in the higher education industry. Pinky manages the marketing of the MBA program.

Alice Leung also joined the MBA Marketing and Admissions team as Program Assistant. Alice obtained a Bachelor of Culture and Heritage Management from City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining HKUST, she worked at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum as a Marketing Assistant. She now manages marketing implementations for the MBA program.

In addition, two colleagues were recently promoted in the MBA Office.

Rosanna Pang was promoted to Assistant Director in September of this year. She joined the MBA Marketing and Admissions team in 2012, before being transferred to the Central team as Manager of Academic Affairs. In her new role, Rosanna takes care of the MBA for Professionals (Weekly).

Zoe Wan joined the MBA Full-time Program team in 2015. Over the past three years, Zoe has played a key role in many full-time MBA program activities. She has also been a great advisor for students on all areas of student affairs.
